The Square D by Schneider Electric Home line 15 Amp 1-pole Dual Function Circuit Breaker is designed to meet current National Electric Code requirements, providing a space and labor-saving solution. This innovative device combines Combination Arc Fault protection and Ground Fault protection (Class A) in one easy-to-install unit. The National Electric Code now mandates both Combination Arc Fault and Ground Fault protection on all 1-Pole, 15 Amp and 20 Amp kitchen and laundry circuits.
Prior to the release of this new device, contractors and homeowners were limited to using a Combination Arc Fault circuit breaker along with a costly and bulky ground fault receptacle. The introduction of the dual function circuit breakers helps reduce costs and eliminates the need for using two separate devices, making it a win for both contractors and homeowners. Like all Square D CAFI circuit breakers, it comes with time saver diagnostics, providing additional circuit information and minimizing troubleshooting at the touch of a button.
The plug-on design makes it easy to install, and it is compatible with all Home line load centers. It is rated for 120 VAC, 10,000 AIR, and is ANSI certified and UL listed. Additionally, it comes with a limited lifetime warranty, providing peace of mind for users.
